摘要: The effects of melt processing on those properties polyhydroxybutyrate-hydroxyvalerate copolymers that control hydrolytic stability were studied. Initial experiments using a non-thermal preparation technique enabled the relationship between initial molecular weight and rate degradation to be established. This was conveniently expressed in terms time for 10% by sample eroded. By varying conditions, range distribution investigated. These found quite dramatic, with reduction 50% being readily achieved. Temperature, shear dwell interrelated extent thermal achieved during processing. principal effect copolymer composition resulted from fact an increase hydroxyvalerate content led melting point milder conditions used. Enhanced crystallinity, resulting more favourable reduced rates. As result, produced complex interrelation effects, all which influenced fabricated specimen. In general, predominated.
