摘要: Abstract In this research paper the microstructure of magnesium AZ31B alloy is investigated after application a single monotonic compressive strain of −0.4%. A band twinned grains observed to form in test bar approximately 10 mm wide, corresponding zone highest plastic strain. The region studied using electron backscatter diffraction and transmission microscopy (TEM). Twinning mode fraction are reported along with detailed analysis precipitate phase size distribution. Evidence given for twin-precipitate interaction during twin formation process. High resolution TEM energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy used conjunction structural simulation software identify Al-Mn phase. zinc shell forming around precipitates, related exclusion by precipitating
