摘要: Portugal is a country with 10 million inhabitants. The healthcare system financed by the government and assistance available to all citizens, regardless of ability pay. Although there are some private hospitals, vast majority hospital beds (26 115) public. For several years, implementation infection control activities has been carried out in an irregular way. Since 1996, creation local committee (ICC) every health institution, public or private, become legal obligation. Despite this requirement, does not exist as medical nursing speciality formal training programmes on do schools regular basis. Education last few years only through developed occasionally Infection Control Programme (formerly Project) Ministry Health schools.
