摘要: The purpose of this study was to investigate the toxicity 15 quaternary ammonium compounds (QACs) in a battery four bioassays comprising bacterium Vibrio fischeri, two ciliated protozoa Spirostomum ambiguum and Tetrahymena thermophia, anostracean crustacean Artemia franciscana. were prepared by Professor Pernak's group at Poznan University Technology (Poland). test very high, with EC(LC)(50) values varying from 0.11 70 micromol/L. Microtox most sensitive bioassay, while least sensitive. Among T. thermophila 5-30 times less than S. ambiguum. QACs depended on their structure, but no simple correlation found for all applied.
