Organic-inorganic gas separation membranes: preparation and characterization

摘要: Abstract Gas separation composite membranes have been prepared using a porous substrate and thin organic-inorganic sol-gel layer as permselective coating. These layers obtained by co-hydrolysis of an organoalkoxisilane (C6H5)nSi(OCH3)4−n[n = 1,2] tetramethoxysilane Si(OCH3)4. Various molecular structures are formed depending on the functionality organoalkoxide its proportion in mixture. networks characterized solid-state NMR, small-angle X-ray scattering differential scanning calorimetry. Single gas flux measurements for various gases (CO2, N2, He) ideal CO 2 N , He selectivities calculated. permeation results discussed terms structural characterization.
