摘要: Background: Squamous cell carcinoma in an area of chronic ulceration is a well-documented phenomenon. However, its occurrence arising de novo necrobiosis lipoidica rare. Method: We report case 53-year-old female who presented with 2 month history erythematous nodule occurring plaque on the medical aspect right lower leg. She had background poorly controlled Type 1 diabetes. Results: Histopathological findings revealed well-differentiated squamous overlying lipoidica. Treatment was by excision and split-thickness skin graft. Conclusion: Clinicians should be aware malignant transformation within Early detection will allow conservative treatment.
