摘要: Abstract The Near Infrared (NIR) spectroscopy is a novel technique that can be used for early identification and separation of minerals from unwanted gangue during ore sorting. In this research, the potential near infrared sensors application in automated sorting was investigated on copper-gold sample. contains substantial amount carbonaceous material which results excessive acid consumption subsequent leaching process copper extraction. To classify (carbonate) valuable metal (copper), strategy to identify distinguish according carbonate content developed. spectra were measured surface particles characteristic absorption features observed at longer wavelength ranging 2000 nm 2405 nm. then correlated with chemical mineralogical composition determined using X-Ray fluorescence diffraction equipments respectively. showed distinct rich distinguished these bearing particles, are fairly featureless wavelengths. Combined interpretation spectral data indicates infrared-based has type ore.
