摘要: The aim of this paper is to identify the key drivers organizational eco-innovations by looking at motivations UK companies for adopting Environmental Management Systems (EMS). Besides competitive, ethical, and institutional motives, study considers importance capabilities internal resources that firms hold in stimulating EMS. empirical analysis based on unique firm-level data 2853 manufacturing from DEFRA survey “Environmental Protection Expenditure Industry” years 2005 2006. This new information allows us examine motives behind environmental commitment include both externally certified EMS in-house In our probit model estimations, findings suggest are driven ethical/strategic (i.e. CSR) (e.g. regulations) motivations. Also, enhanced technological R&D) prerequisites types eco-innovation. results underline an important difference between that, first competitive cost savings) whereas latter not affected these factors.
