摘要: Abstract The antigen processing requirements for urushiol, the immunogen of poison ivy (Toxicodendron radicans), were tested by presentation urushiol to cultured human urushiol-responsive T cells. Urushiol was added antigen-presenting cells (APC) either before or after fixation with paraformaldehyde. Three distinct routes detected. CD8+ and CD4+ cells, which dependent upon processing, proliferated if APC fixation, but did not proliferate when fixation. Processing inhibited azide, monensin, brefeldin A. This suggests that processed endogenous pathway. In contrast, monensin compatible endosomal (exogenous) Finally, certain recognized in absence processing. These response incubated Classification contact allergens pathway may predict relative roles immunopathogensis allergic dermatitis.
