摘要: The purpose of this study was to describe a method quantify dynamic patellar tracking using kinematic MRI (KMRI). Twelve normal females and three patients with patellofemoral pain participated. Imaging performed 1.5-T/64-MHz MR system fast spoiled gradient-recalled acquisition in the steady state (GRASS) pulse sequence. A nonferromagnetic positioning device permitted active, bilateral knee extension against resistance (15% bwt) from 45° flexion full extension. Subjects were instructed extend their knees at rate 9° per second, which allowed images be obtained 45°, 36°, 27°, 18°, 9°, 0°. All assessed for medial/lateral displacement, tilt, sulcus angle computer-aided system. Normal motion characterized by medial movement followed reversal toward lateral displacement 18° results tilt revealed tendency decreasing as extended. Sulcus measurements indicated that patella moving more shallow portion trochlear groove (superiorly) during
