摘要: Dispersion in the planetary boundary layer (PBL) is controlled by mean and turbulent structure of that layer. In past decade, significant progress has occurred our understanding PBL diffusion, especially for daytime convective (CBL). As discussed Ch. 1, this resulted from collective efforts numerical modeling, laboratory simulations, field observations. chapter I discuss how better improved theoretical basis performance dispersion models routine applications. shall focus on point sources nonbuoyant (i.e., passive) or buoyant material at arbitrary height CBL. The CBL important case tall stacks because they generally contribute their maximum ground-level concentrations (GLC) during convection (see Venkatram, 1980; Weil Brower, 1984).
