摘要: Law firms seeking a competitive advantage in the marketplace would do well to consider that positive psychological resources of firm lawyers are just as important individual and organizational performance their intellectual resources. There is growing evidence from fields psychology behavior hope, optimism, self-efficacy resilience shape underlying attitudes behaviors associated with increased performance. These may even buffer against occupational hazards profession cut long-term success – include depression, anxiety, substance abuse suicide. In this capstone I advocate for traditional law associate training programs be enhanced development capital (or “PsyCap”), construct consisting components self-efficacy, resilience, optimism. discuss how policies promote lawyer strengths well-being good lawyer, ultimately business, propose brief intervention boost PsyCap.
