Understanding the effect of chain entanglement state on melt crystallization of the polymer freeze-extracted from solution: The role of critical overlap concentration

摘要: Abstract Freeze-drying of dilute polymer solution is a widely accepted method to yield disentangled polymer. By this method, it has been pointed out that samples recovered from possess better crystallization ability than the bulk Here, important role critical overlap concentration c* in firstly stressed give more quantitative understanding relation between entanglement state and melt behavior. Crystallization kinetics poly (lactic acid) freeze-extracted dichloromethane with various below above c*, as well crystalline structure after isothermal at 110 °C, were investigated by means differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS). Results indicated lamellar thickness (Lc) show strong dependence on precursor only when lower value (c*), while behavior changes little. Besides, rational characterize chain select concentrations accordingly was suggested, is, using dimensionless variable [η]c which product intrinsic viscosity [η] c.
