摘要: The perception of an object's colour remains constant despite large variations in the chromaticity illumination—colour constancy. Hering suggested that memory colours, typical colours objects, could help estimating illuminant's and therefore be important factor establishing Here we test whether presence objects with diagnostical (fruits, vegetables, etc) within a scene influence constancy for unknown coloured scene. Subjects matched one four Munsell papers placed illuminated under either reddish or greenish lamp book by neutral lamp. were embedded different scenes—one containing diagnostically incongruent third geometrical same as non-diagnostically (eg, yellow coffee mug). All against black background. Colour was on average significantly higher compared other scenes tested. We conclude familiar obtaining objects.
