摘要: When the Earth’s climate changes from interglacial to glacial conditions, temperature and precipitation patterns over European continent are profoundly modified: at height of last ice age, surface water temperatures in neighbouring Atlantic Ocean were more than 10°C lower those present day. A cold dry had led development a polar desert northern Europe steppe conditions further south.
