摘要: In the present study, features of flow past a circular cylinder with single longitudinal groove pattern placed on its surface were investigated. Six different rectangular sizes tested for angular position from forward stagnation point within 0°≤θ≤150°. The particle image velocimetry (PIV) technique employed to measure field downstream immersed in uniform Reynolds number, Re=5000. Time-averaged data such as vorticity, 〈ω〉 streamline, 〈Ψ〉, streamwise, 〈u′u′〉 and transverse, 〈v′v′〉 normal stresses, turbulent kinetic energy, TKE RMS urms vrms velocity components obtained PIV demonstrate features. Moreover, frequency Karman vortex shedding was explored using spectral analysis. It is concluded that presence significantly affects near wake structure turbulence statistics. frequency, fk strongly depends size. shear layer instability induced grooved side additional frequencies.
