摘要: Speech production at the peripheral level consists of three stages: exhalation, phonation, and articulation (Table 2.1). Exhalatory movement respiratory organ provides subglottal air flow (direct current). The is cut into puffs (alternating current) closed glottis as vocal cords vibrate. sound thereby produced referred to primary laryngeal tone or glottal (source). Through resonance tract, modified so that some frequency components are amplified others attenuated.
