摘要: Abstract Developing a universal approach for acquiring yield strength and ultimate tensile by small punch test (SPT) is long-standing challenge. In this paper, methodology proposed to obtain properties of bulk materials from SPT results. It involves extracting true stress–strain curves data using iterative finite element simulation. Acquired show that initial stress cannot be reproduced. This attributed the inhomogeneous deformation specimens. Finite simulations were then conducted on tests with extracted strength. Results indicate predicted shows convergent tendency times An process strength, based analysis. The acquired are in good agreement those obtained standard testing. an entirely novel procedure predicts reliable via single run. can employed confidence cases which testing impractical.
