摘要: Subgenus Perovskia of the extended genus Salvia comprises several Central Asian medicinal and aromatic species, which S. yangii abrotanoides are most widespread. These plants cultivated in Europe as robust ornamentals, cultivars available. However, their potential remains underutilized because limited information about phytochemical genetic diversity. Thus, we combined an ultra-high performance liquid chromatography quadrupole time flight mass spectrometry (UHPLC-QTOF-MS) based metabolomics with DNA barcoding approach on trnH-psbA ITS2 barcodes to clarify relationships between these two taxa. Metabolomic analysis demonstrated that aerial parts more similar than roots none major compounds stand out distinct. Sugiol leaves carnosic acid quinone were mostly responsible for chemical differentiation, whereas distinction was supported by presence five norditerpenoids flavonoids one norditerpenoid abrotanoides. To verify metabolomics-based performed authentication revealed be very closely related but separate species. We coupled parallel LC-MS profiling constitutes a powerful tool identification taxonomically close
