Desirable characteristics in perennial Triticeae collected in China for wheat improvement

摘要: Perennial Triticeae in China contain an enormous gene pool that has a great potential for wheat improvement. Collecting expeditions to 12 provinces of Northern have been carried out. It found most collections Agropyron mongolicum, A. cristatum, desertorum, and Leymus chinensis, h. secalinus are drought tolerant, some Hordeum brevisubulatum, chinensis tolerant saline-alkali soil. 448 accessions perennial were screened resistance powdery mildew, 248 93 BYDV strains PAV RPV, respecitvely, species resistant the diseases found. A brief description utilization improvement is given this paper.
