摘要: This chapter concerns the validation of high resolution (mostly 0.25°, daily and three-hourly) precipitation products over United States. A synthesis relevant studies is followed by comparisons estimates based on satellites models, with in situ ground data US. All use multiple satellite as well model (from NCEP GFS). First, results are shown from ongoing, web-based, real-time International Precipitation Working Group activity Next, 15 sub-daily gauges Kansas Oklahoma used to assess performance three-hourly estimates, attention distribution precipitation. Finally, comparison several against collected North American Monsoon Experiment given. Results show that existing have great skill many areas US, even at time-scale. Significant issues still exist orography seasonally dependent.
