摘要: This article develops and defends a theory of “network failure” analogous to more familiar theories organizational market failure already prevalent in the literature on economic governance. It theorizes those failures not as simple absence network governance, but rather situation which transactional conditions for desirability obtain governance is impeded either by ignorance or opportunism, combination two. depicts continuous than discrete outcomes, shows that they have one cause, pays particular attention two undertheorized—if undiscovered—types (i.e., involution contested collaboration). thereby contributes development sociology's toolkit theorizing networks are “neither nor hierarchy.”
