摘要: Abstract This article deals with statistical inference of the motion rigid bodies using bootstrap methodology. We consider two types motion: in p dimensional Euclidean space, and on a p-dimensional sphere. is motivated by problems interest to polar scientists understanding ice pack at North Pole those geoscientists studying tectonic plates. In addition obtaining point estimates for various parameters describing bodies, we also perform confidence region estimation testing certain hypotheses. situations: when homologous data are available, consists nonhomologous points. illustrate methodology analyzing sets: set arctic sea ice, from plate tectonics.
