STAFF-ADMINISTERED FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS AND TREATMENT OF AGGRESSION BY AN ELDER WITH DEMENTIA

摘要: In the current study, nursing home staff were taught to administer functional analyses determine variables maintaining aggression by an elder with dementia. The results indicated that was evoked during bathroom routines and escape maintained aggression. Staff then reduced near-zero levels noncontingent escape. Implications for assessment treatment of problem behaviors in settings are discussed.
