摘要: This study examines the preferences and meanings of labels for white Americans as discursively defined expressions identity. Preliminary investigation revealed resistance by to self‐labelling, led this systematic preferred reasons underlying resistance. In all, 371 respondents completed a survey, rating seven in terms preference, gave these labels. They also discussed their feelings opinions about process self‐labelling. The results reveal that most label is “White” least “WASP.” authors interpret findings from multi‐perspectival position, incorporating critical well social psychological interpretations.
