摘要: While some progress has been made recently in identifying potential candidate genes that may be important pathogenesis of pulmonary fibrosis, the list certainly is not complete. Using DNA microarray analysis to analyze lung gene expression profiles a rat model fibrosis revealed over 600 were ≥ 2-fold up or down-regulated. The highest up-regulated identified as FIZZ1 (Found Inflammatory Zone), and found expressed primarily by epithelial cells fibroblasts. Further shows stimulated α-smooth muscle actin type I collagen independently transforming growth factor-β, suggesting its an inducer myofibroblast differentiation. IL-4 IL-13 are induce II alveolar via STAT6 mediated mechanism, interestingly IL-4/IL-13 deficient mice reduced fibrosis. Thus role represents example epithelial-mesenchymal crosstalk significance genesis myofibroblasts
