摘要: Considerable controversy still surrounds the etiology of osteoporosis in ageing women. Albright, Smith and Richardson 19411 originally drew attention to its relationship menopause, a simple hypothesis proposed an etiological association between loss ovarian function subsequent development osteoporosis. Metabolic balance studies indicated that both estrogen androgen should be effective treatment osteoporosis2. However, with androgens fell into disrepute when it became obvious they were ineffective unless given virilizing doses3 and, using relatively insensitive techniques then available, cross-sectional suggested that, at best, would only prevent skeletal loss4, such effect might temporary. Further, Donaldson Nassim5 unable find any significant oophorectomy.
