摘要: Despite the technological improvements in monitoring preterm infants neonatal intensive care unit, routine ward is primarily based on manual procedures. Although clinical procedures play a critical role neonatology, little attention has been paid to palpation as assessment tool. Palpation evaluation tool that relies mostly senses of touch and proprioception. Based recent studies investigating effectiveness full-term babies, this paper proposes an evaluative touch-based procedure-the Neonatal Assessment Manual Score (NAME) model-that could be useful describes its rationale. The operator applies gentle light pressures infant's body. In essence, stimulates low-threshold afferent fibers influence interoceptive cerebral network autonomic nervous system, thus altering blood flow breathing rhythm. These events change how bodily fluids distribute among body segments hence volume. volume modification felt manually through haptic perception owing high sensitivity fingers. On basis their conditions stage development, will respond differently applied pressures. Evaluating response, produces score "bad," "marginal," or "good" for communicating quickly clearly other professionals. Because NAME model intended every professional who used procedures, if future confirmed validity reliability practice, become part better assessing managing conditions, even during emergencies.
