摘要: The aim of this work was to assess the possibility using a bentonite-type clay as promising substitute for mordants in natural dyeing wool with madder. Wool yarn treated nanoclay by three conventional methods pretreatment (before dyeing), simultaneous madder presence clay, and aftertreatment (after dyeing). Madder used source colorant. scientific employed study included Fourier Transform-infrared spectroscopy, ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry, differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, electron microscopy, moisture regain measurement, tensile strength tests, reflectance fastness evaluation. intensity major peaks spectra nanoclay-treated indicated chemical changes polypeptide functional groups structure. exhibited higher properties on clay-pretreated samples compared untreated wool. results colour measurements showed that dyed improved an increasing amount baths.
