摘要: Abstract The solved structures of clathrates between 1,1′-binaphthyl-2,2′-dicarboxylic acid (BNDA) as host and acetic, propionic butyric guests together with previously determined BNDA formic acetic testify that each the first four representatives homologous series aliphatic monocarboxylic acids has its own association mode dicarboxylic host. Acetic forms a clathrate specific for it at room temperature gives solvate isostructural inclusion complex 60 °C. host–guest is valeric acid. As matter principle, shown (1) larger molecule greater ability to disintegrate infinite chains H-bonded molecules characteristic guest-free compound—formic not able cut smaller fragments attaches itself them, tends dimers which are then associated circular tetramers through H-bonds guest molecules, disintegrates linear while well dimeric units. (2) higher crystallization from solutions in stronger interaction obtained crystal modification.
