摘要: Free radicals contribute to the development of degenerative diseases such as atherosclerosis, cardiomyopathy, neurological and cancer. When increase in intracellular content these exceeds antioxidant defenses cells, oxidative stress is produced, which induces damage biomolecules lipids, proteins nucleic acids. Among currently available antitumoral drugs treat cancer humans, are topoisomerases inhibitors. Many molecules with this type activity against cells have been isolated from plants, produce different types metabolites that proven be useful treating many diseases, for dichloromethane methanol extracts 29 species belonging 7 families plants gathered reserve zones Ecorregion Cafetera Colombiana (ECC) were evaluated determine their capacity antitopoisomerase activity. Antitopoisomerase was determined by mutant strains Saccharomyces cerevisiae RJ03, RS321 R52Y agar well diffusion method; whereas free radical scavenging tested diphenylpicrylhydrazyl (DPPH) method. None plant presented activity, while it found 8 15 Methanolic Acalypha diversifolia (UTP-126, Euphorbiaceae), Alchornea calophylla (UTP-128, sp (UTP-140, Euphorbiaceae) Hyeronima (UTP-130, those who showed higher capacity. In addition, total phenols Folin-Ciocalteu method capacity, expressing results gallic acid.
