In sol phase of secretion, phospholipid membranes stretched out or arranged in vesicular structures could regularly be demonstrated. They displayed same structure as surfactant material alveolar space. It can inferred therefrom that is excreted via system. probably contributes to stabilization mucus and thus influences sliding capacity gel phase. So has an important function maintaining mucociliary clearance at mucosa.
