摘要: Abstract Objective To compare the costs of CT-guided radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and MR-guided laser (LA) for minimally invasive percutaneous treatment osteoid osteoma. Materials methods Between November 2005 October 2011, 20 patients (14 males, 6 females, mean age 20.3 ± 9.1 years) underwent RFA 24 (18 females; age, 23.8 ± 13.8 LA (open 1.0 Tesla, Panorama HFO, Philips, Best, Netherlands) osteoma diagnosed on basis clinical presentation imaging findings. Prorated equipment use (purchase, depreciation, maintenance), staff costs, expenditure disposables were identified procedures. Results The average total per patient EUR 1762 1417 LA. These (RFA/LA) 92/260 use, 149/208 staff, 870/300 disposables. Conclusion is less expensive than higher are primarily due to price disposable probes.
