摘要: Tethered balloon-borne instrumentation has been used to study the small-scale air motion and temperature variations occurring within a layer of nocturnal stratocumulus. The observations indicate very sharp intermittently turbulent entrainment interfacial with some evidence for characteristic scale about 10m. Within cloud convective motions are apparent these take form cold, downward moving plumes which increase in away from top. They generated by large radiative loss upper part cloud. Some statistical features turbulence field discussed compared other stratocumulus daytime boundary layer.
