摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter explains the opine utilization by Agrobacterium. Utilization of opines bacterial strains has been assayed in different ways: (1) measuring uptake substrates cells, (2) following fate supernatant incubation mixtures or culture media, and (3) assessing ability a strain to grow on media containing as sole carbon and/or nitrogen source. The pathway octopine lysopine degradation characterized active transport into cell, cleavage molecule parent amino acid α-keto acid. Opine oxidase is enzyme responsible for opine. other family well that nopaline nopalinic probably follows same pathway, mutants unable utilize fail degrade lysopine, octopinic acid, histopine.
