摘要: We explored the effects of exogenous methyl salicylate (MeSA) on development chilling injury symptom, and structure composition pericarp, in mango (Mangifera indica L. cv. ‘Red 6’) fruit under low-temperature stress using histochemical analysis scanning electron microscopy together with Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) analysis. The results indicated that symptom was remarkably limited treated MeSA at 0.1 mM as compared to 5°C control, demonstrating positive reducing storage. In MeSA-treated fruit, pericarp wax surface showed many cracks, exocarp cells exhibited normal separation. cell wall contained lower amounts pectic substances, aliphatics phenolics fruit. addition, more esterified substances less carboxylate carboxyl substances. Our work revealed importance enhancing tolerance suggested a contribution cellular this effect, which has not been reported previously.
