摘要: We describe a new dip- and read dipstick that detects urine albumin at concentrations of 10 mg/l above creatinine 300 above. The assay is based on high-affinity, dye-binding technique while the peroxidase-like activity copper complexes. With these two-test dipsticks, urines from normal adults supplemented with were correctly identified to within +/- 15% expected value for both analytes; between-day coefficients variation ranged 7.1% 16.1%. tested 275 patients' unmodified by Bayer Boehringer Mannheim Micral-Test dipsticks Beckman Array same specimens. also analyzed 42 selected group another quantitative immunochemical method electrophoresis plus total protein estimate concentration. methods appear underestimate concentrations; in measured as negative, i.e., or = 16 an 80% rate. At cutoff 20 mg/l, rate increased 87%. determined urinary albumin/creatinine ratios patients using two-pad found agreement 84% time ratio obtained rate-Jaffe creatinine; (mg/g) 30 was used discrimination point. Albumin stability studies performed six fresh showed small but consistent decreases -20 degrees C not 4 after one month storage. contrived urines, estimated electrophoreses/total did change storage conditions. Boric acid 1 g/l preservative had no effect measurement any described here nor creatinine. Other proteins present abnormal excretion rates interfere dipstick. Abnormal bilirubin, citrate, creatine, ascorbic acid, albumin, hemoglobin myoglobin measurements. first four affect results albumin.
