摘要: In hummocky morainal landscapes, soil distribution in well-drained landscape positions tends to follow a consistent pattern. Soils depressions, however, are more difficult predict reliably. This study had two objectives: (1) determine the parent material and properties controlling formation of different depressional soils; (2) use these controls identify quantitative, terrain-based predictors type depressions. Only terrain attributes, specific dispersal area (SDA) elevation relative open water bodies, were required distinguish three main groups: Gley Recharge, Non-gley Discharge soils. Specific is downslope draining flow from given grid cell. Recharge soils occur primarily at points with SDA less than 2 m2 m−1, regardless within site, because most runoff flowing point very low values will pond or infiltrate vertically rather downslope. both greater m−1. The majority above 5-m an body below body, reflecting importance solute cycling development discharge conditions. Buried depositional could not be predicted current attributes their profile characteristics derived paleosurface.
