摘要: Abstract We have studied the optical properties of poly(3-octylthiophene) (P3OT) thin films, prepared by spin coating, with variable angle spectroscopic ellipsometry (SE). The off-diagonal elements reflection matrix been analysed revealing that films are optically anisotropic axis normal to sample surface, which is a result orientation polymer chains parallel surface. By simultaneously fitting ellipsometric spectra samples, both and perpendicular components dielectric function were obtained. imaginary parts show strong anisotropy (7:1). In addition, one-dimensional density states model was used describe frequency dispersion part in high-energy region. An excellent agreement experiment found, leading fundamental band gap 2.67 eV.
