摘要: It has previously been shown that the acetylated forms of histone H4 are depleted or absent in both constitutive, centric heterochromatin and facultative inactive X chromosome (Xi) female cells. By immunostaining metaphase chromosomes from human lymphocytes with antibodies to isoforms histones H2A H3, we now show these too underacetylated Xi heterochromatin. shows two prominent regions residual H3 acetylation, one encompassing pseudoautosomal region at end short arm about Xg22.
