摘要: The solubility of charged nanoparticles is critically dependent on pH. However, the concentration range available with bases such as NaOH quite narrow, since particles precipitate due to compression electric double layer when ionic strength increased. stability mercaptoundecanoic acid-capped Au studied at a set pH using hydroxide base and different cations various sizes. counterions used are sodium (Na(+)), tetramethylammonium (TMA(+)), tetraethylammonium (TEA(+)), tetrabutylammonium (TBA(+)). in 70-90 mM Na(+) counterion, but quaternary ammonium hydroxides stable even concentrations exceeding 1 M. change linked strongly adsorbed surface ligand shell nanoparticles. increased obtained TEAOH further facilitate thiol exchange which occurs greater extent than would be achieved solution.
