摘要: Mercury concentrations were analyzed in different organs/tissues of wild minks (Mustela vison) and river otters (Lutra canadensis) trapped during two seasons the James Bay territory (49°N to 55°N, Quebec, Canada). In 1993–94, mean total Hg concentration (μg/g, wet weight) 39 mink 12 otter carcasses was greatest fur/hair samples (30.1 20.7 μg/g, respectively) least brain (0.96 0.8 with liver, kidney, muscle showing intermediate values. Pooling data from 1993–94 1994–95 trapping revealed (SD) liver 3.71 μg/g (3.91) 316 4.05 (3.41) 153 carcasses. Log increased age but not otter. each species areas moraine deposits rich clay deposits, effect soil could be confounded by uneven deposition anthropogenic Hg. Controlling for type log decreased increasing distance local industrial centers varied little changes hydroelectric reservoirs. a subsample sector, higher than Spatial variation relation deposit proximity suggests that furbearer useful indicators environmental contamination.
