Coexistence between terminating and more collective configurations at very high spin in 155Dy

摘要: Abstract A comparison between the observed spectrum of 155 Dy and calculations suggests that yrast states in I +30–40 region are built from bands whose deformation smoothly changes towards oblate shape ( γ =60°) with band terminations =45–50 region. The presence other which show no terminating features is also naturally understood within same theoretical framework.
