Exposure to PM10 and NO2 and association with respiratory health among primary school children living near petrochemical industry area at Kertih, Terengganu

摘要: This study was carried out to determine the level of exposure PM10 and NO2 its relation respiratory health among primary school children living near petrochemical industry area at Kertih, Terengganu. cross sectional comparative conducted 60 from studied group group. The respondents were selected based on inclusive criteria’s for this study. Level measured using DustTrak Aerosol Monitor while LaMotte Air Sampling Pump. Questionnaire used collect information respondent’s socio-demography background symptoms. Lung function test performed Spirometer. Results showed that mean concentration (79 μg/m3) (3.73 ppm) higher compared group, (49 (0.14 ppm). As overall, reported symptoms significantly compare Significant reduction value FEV1/FVC% there airways obstruction Findings indicated indoor concentrations may increase risk getting lung area.
