摘要: Abstract The water collection behaviour of colony foundresses a Japanese paper wasp, Polistes chinensis antennalis , was recorded. A single round-trip consists (1) an outward flight, (2) water-sucking, and (3) homeward flight. rate intake decreased as the length water-sucking increased. There positive correlation between duration flight that water-sucking. variance time for flights larger than flights. data were consistent with predictions central place foraging model Orians & Pearson (1979) .
