摘要: Abstract Bovine pituitary Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF) stimulated increases in both the mitotic index (MI) and rate of protein synthesis cultured cone stage blastemata newt forelimb. These effects FGF vitro were dose-dependent with maximal stimulation occurring at a concentration 10 ng/ml. In addition, after one week organ culture, FGF-treated adult triceps muscles had significantly higher acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity than untreated, contralateral controls. This other neurotrophic effect was also again maximally effective Whereas nerves or brain extracts normally maintain only those heavier forms AChE sedimentation coefficients 12S 16S respectively, non-specifically maintained all five species culture. Thus, physiological significance these processes is unclear must be viewed against possible contribution, by nerve, as yet undefined trophic chemicals.
