摘要: Background We aimed at identifying molecular markers predictive of clinical outcome in patients with head and neck cancer based on the expression profile cells showing epithelial-like (EL) or mesenchymal-like (ML) phenotypes. Materials methods analyzed association between EL ML migration, drug resistance, tumor growth. The differential gene cell types was used to build a model stratify according survival. Results were sensitive cisplatin cetuximab, showed low generated squamous differentiated tumors mouse. A 93-gene signature three-gene (EFS, GPX2, SPRR1A) survival by analyzing RNA-seq data TCGA-HNSC project. Its prognostic value confirmed two independent cohorts. Conclusion EFS, SPRR1A are able distinguish among subtypes sharing an phenotype.
