摘要: Nutraceutical derives from the combination of words “nutrient” and “pharmaceutical.” As name implies, nutraceuticals are compounds derived food sources other types intake that have particular beneficial health effects than their nutritional value. In recent years, a large number studies focused on an enormous quantity such compounds, evaluating them for toxicological safety potential benefits in conditions as diverse neurodegenerative disorders, obesity diabetes, cancer, improvement transplant success. Mitochondria benchmark model toxicity evaluation, mitochondrial activity quick efficient protocol evaluation. This chapter focuses commonly studied nutraceutical molecules discusses to some extent research performed various applications they might possess clinical setting, particularly focusing known effects.
