摘要: Four-way junctions in DNA. (Holliday) [1] are branchpoints DNA where four helices interconnected by the mutual exchange of strands [2] (Figure 1). They important intermediates rearrangement DNA, and may be created strand invasion recombination, double-strand break repair fork reversal during replication. Additionally, four-way central intermediate tyrosine recombinases such as Cre [3]. (and other branched structures) also structural functional elements RNA, but this aspect will not considered further here. Nevertheless, many conformational principles deduced for junction apply equally to RNA [4]. This short review focuses on recent developments understanding structure dynamics junctions.
