Study of electron-positron annihilation into π+π− on the ϱo resonance

摘要: Abstract The electromagnetic form factor of the pion has been determined in ϱo resonance region by measuring absolute cross section reaction e+e−→π+π− with Orsay storage ring. More than 800 pairs have detected. excitation curve fitted a Breit-Wigner formula which leads to following values: σ peak = (1.69 ± 0.21) 10 −30 cm 2 ; m ϱ (770 4) MeV Γ (111 6) . partial width going into e+e− thus obtained is: → e + − =(7.36±0.7) keV
